“The place is right across the beach. The room is spacious and comfortable. We slept very well especially with the blackout curtains and reduced noise with the area. Despite the lack of cleanliness and challenges with the lifts/infrastructure, I still would like to stay here again.”

“The breakfast was great. Also the staff was friendly. They helped me to print my document”

“The common areas and hotel facade is beautiful. The rooms can use refurbishing. The hotel staff especially the concierge/doorman and at the bar are amazing. They are what made the difference. ”

“The hotel was one of the best in Eastbourne, its had no money spent on it in decades. The beds are paperthin , all the carpets across the whole hotel are full of big stains which have been there for years. The outside is falling apart and the whole hotel has been ignored, such a shame it was so nice in the past.”

“Like: The sea view was beautiful. Dislike: For a five-star hotel, the executive room felt very dated and surprisingly lacking in basic amenities. There was no minibar, no air conditioning, and none of the extra touches you would normally expect at this level, such as bathrobes, slippers, hand towels or even tissues. The room became extremely hot at night, even though the weather itself was not warm. Our room was on the 1st floor, so for security reasons we did not feel comfortable leaving the window open, but the road noise outside was also very noticeable.”

“Staff are friendly, clean room, a good location with parking, and FREE Breakfast...”

“Stayed for one night with my daughter (aged 14). Room was a good size, bed comfortable, bathroom and shower also good. Room was hot in the afternoon but there was a fan in the room which worked really well. Room was cooler by nighttime. Stuff really helpful and friendly and accommodating. My daughter was delighted with the bonus pastries at breakfast!! ”
