“Friendly, welcoming and flexible. Better breakfast than I've been given in many hotels, including a great fresh fruit salad.”

“Our experience at the Charlestown Hotel was well below expectations. The service was unresponsive and unhelpful — “no” seemed to be the only word the staff knew. Most of the time, there was no one at the front desk, and with no phone in the room, even basic communication was a challenge. Repeatedly ringing the bell at reception often went unanswered. The facilities were equally lacking: no shampoo, conditioner, or shower gel (only generic handwash), no iron or ironing board, and no air conditioning. The room was uncomfortably hot, and when we asked for a fan, the answer was — unsurprisingly — no. The reception area is tiny, and with no proper access path, you’ll end up dragging your luggage over pebbles and through their restaurant. Overall, an overhyped hotel that fails to deliver on even basic comfort or hospitality. Not recommended, especially if you’re on vacation. ”

“Dunfermline City駅からは少し離れていて、坂道のため大変だったが、公園の中を通れば気持ちよく、時間をかけてホテルへ向かった。 ホテルは、町の中心にあり、買い物や観光に便利だった。部屋は廊下の端にあり、荷物を持って階段を上がるのが大変だったが、とても静かな。シングルベッドで、広くなかったが、バスタブもあり、快適に過ごせた。部屋にポット、コーヒーもありよかった。Edinburghから少し離れるだけで、静かな環境で過ごすことができる。近くに公園やAndrew Carnegieに関する観光場所、ショッピングセンターもあるので、ホテルで荷物を預かってもらい滞在を楽しむことができた。”

“The room was fresh , clean and a decent size . Staff were really friendly and professional . The only problem was there was no shower curtain or hooks.They were waiting for new ones to arrive !! All the rooms were booked so we couldn’t be moved. They gave us extra bath mats . The new shower curtains arrived when we were checking out . The breakfast was ok but could do with a bit more variety of cereals . The room was very warm and in a great location for us to visit Family .”
