“Great at a cheap price.”

“Booked for one night only. Arrives before check in but was able to leave car in car park and could explore Clacton. Check in was smooth and easy. Pre order for breakfast taken. We had room 9 on top floor. Low ceilings could be an issue. Broken floor tiles in en suite. Comfortable stay. Good breakfast ”

“We booked this hotel as it was in close walking distance to a party we were attending and we’re pleasantly surprised. Although the car park was busy on arrival we found a space and were booked in efficiently and found our room to be comfortable and clean, although the extractor from the kitchen was located outside the window. I raised my concerns about this and as the hotel was full we were unable to change rooms, however we were assured that the extractor would be turned off before 10pm and this was the case. Although it was started again for cooking breakfast the following morning it didn’t disturb us. We had a pleasant evening meal and breakfast was good. In every case the staff were great, they were attentive helpful and cheerful making our stay even better. My only criticism is that the bar closes a little early at 10-30 and there’s no facility to charge drinks or meals to the room. If we need to stay in the area again The Kingscliff will be my first choice ”

“The hotel is on a road set back approximately a 7 minute walk from the sea from . It is close to many shops, arcades and the pier. The road that the hotel sits on is quite drab and our room facing the front was ok if you are not looking for a picturesque view but rather a large and clean room with coffee making facilities, a comfortable bed and fresh towels. We did not see much of the staff on checking in but the ones that we saw were helpful enough. We checked in on a Sunday when the rates are good and well worth the money”

“Nothing wrong with the hotel but lots of litter in close proximity ... Parking was a nightmare due to the machines being out of order and you have to pay with an app.”

“Best place I have stayed for a long time. Close to beach and pier, parking on forecourt - very rare in this area. Just lovely and comfortable and everything provided so thoughtfully. Nice fluffy towels and quality bedding, great breakfast. Could not fault it - except maybe the pictures dont do justice.”
