We booked this hotel as it was in close walking distance to a party we were attending and we’re pleasantly surprised. Although the car park was busy on arrival we found a space and were booked in efficiently and found our room to be comfortable and clean, although the extractor from the kitchen was located outside the window. I raised my concerns about this and as the hotel was full we were unable to change rooms, however we were assured that the extractor would be turned off before 10pm and this was the case. Although it was started again for cooking breakfast the following morning it didn’t disturb us. We had a pleasant evening meal and breakfast was good. In every case the staff were great, they were attentive helpful and cheerful making our stay even better. My only criticism is that the bar closes a little early at 10-30 and there’s no facility to charge drinks or meals to the room. If we need to stay in the area again The Kingscliff will be my first choice

We had little interaction with staff but the one we did was friendly. Parking can be difficult when busy but there is lots of roadside parking if you can't get in the car park. The room, whilst on first glance, looked well kept; on closer inspection windows were broken, the shower unclean and its structure rotting in places, the nets were a bit grimy. The restaurant is obviously popular and was always full of people drinking and dining and the general facilities looked impressive but the room was tired and dated and in need of a good deep clean and repair.

Stayed here a few times and always good. Fantastic location overlooking the sea. Rooms clean and well equipped. Bar and restaurant good.

We have been to this Hotel numerous times over the years and seen the changes. It still meets our needs, so we will continue to use the Hotel when we come to Clacton each year.

The room was very clean, but the toilet was disgusting.
