“I booked this for its excellent location near the train station, and the good reviews at a reasonable price. I failed to understand that this is utterly self-service - no staff are at the property - and this brings deficiencies to the experience. The door to the room was very hard to open -- it is of flimsy quality, cheap rough lock that is not appropriate for a commercial setting. The room was immaculate (a big advantage!) but very small:; fine for 1 person, cramped for 2. This guest house is really an AirBnb set-up, not a true "Guest House" where there are resident managers. Everything is handled through messaging via your phone, they did respond promptly when I couldn't get the door lock to shut. I could hear absolutely everything going on in the room next door. I will return for an overnight for its ease of use to get to the hospital, but I would not want to stay here as a tourist experience.”

“진짜 위치가 정말 좋았어요. 엄청 추천해요. 케임브리지 가면 꼭 예약하 세요 가성비가 너무 좋습니다. 영국 호텔이 진짜 좋은 편인데 캠브릿지 중앙역에서도 가까우면서 세상에 넓고 깨끗하고 역하고 30초 거리임케임브리지 기차역 바로 앞에 있어요 주변에 세 인즈버리도 있고 좋습니다 케임브리지 대학가까지는 걸어서 15분20분 정도여서 따로 교통을 이용 안하고 Uber비도 아낄 수 있었어요. 비가 안 오는 날씨라서걸을 만 했어요 그리고 바로 맨체스터로 이동 했는데, 버스 타는 것도 플래시 벅스 타는 것도 걸어서 10분 정도 걸렸습니다. 직원도 친 절했고 방이 넓고 깨끗해요 조식도 먹을 만 했어요”

“Not cheap but worthwhile. Within easy walking of the centre and yet secluded enough to be relaxing. The complementary tour in a Bentley was unexpected and gave a sense of bygone era when service was at least as important as profit. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.”

“We wanted to visit Cambridge for our anniversary and chose to stay at Hotel Du Vin. The hotel is very well situated nearly opposite the city’s largest museum and a short direct walk to some of the most famous colleges ( Kings, Corpus Cristi, Queens, Pembroke). Both the station and city centre are also within easy walking distance. Breakfast at the Hotel du Vin is always excellent and the Bistro is OK too. Our room was very pleasant but showing a few signs of age/tiredness. Our major problem was not being able to open the windows for fresh air when the heating controls did not seem very effective. Overall, just the location of the Hotel du VIN results in a high recommendation alongside a very decent breakfast. Staff were very pleasant but might be quicker clearing tables. Highly recommended ”

“Spent three nights here and enjoyed my stay with them. Staff were very welcoming and helpful and the breakfast buffet (continental) was good value for money at GBP 7. Rooms are clean and comfortable - separate bathroom attached. It is slightly outside the main tourist area - an advantage as no crowds - approximately half way between town and the railway station (15 min walk). Would definitely stay again - a refreshing change from the modern chain hotels with their shoe box like rooms. Worth it!”
