We wanted to visit Cambridge for our anniversary and chose to stay at Hotel Du Vin. The hotel is very well situated nearly opposite the city’s largest museum and a short direct walk to some of the most famous colleges ( Kings, Corpus Cristi, Queens, Pembroke). Both the station and city centre are also within easy walking distance. Breakfast at the Hotel du Vin is always excellent and the Bistro is OK too. Our room was very pleasant but showing a few signs of age/tiredness. Our major problem was not being able to open the windows for fresh air when the heating controls did not seem very effective. Overall, just the location of the Hotel du VIN results in a high recommendation alongside a very decent breakfast. Staff were very pleasant but might be quicker clearing tables. Highly recommended

Overall great hotel, friendly staff, and perfect location for walking into the city, However, the decoration in the hotel is a bit tired looking. Our bathroom could really have benefited from a paint touch up as well as a working heated towel rail. This was reported but not fixed. I also think the parking options are very limited and very overpriced at a nearby hotel -£30 for 24 hours seems rather excessive! Small details are important at this price level. The coffee machine at breakfast is slow and very noisy. Maybe get a second one or better have coffees made to order. Also I had to ask both days for the breakfast buffet to be restocked. It was always done right away but I shouldn’t have to ask.

The hotel's staff were exceptional (shoutout to Kalpana and Habiba!) as they go above and beyond to ensure that your stay is good as long as you're with them! The location was quiet and convenient, and rather near to the city centre. The facilities were all right and included pretty good Wi-Fi, and the room overall was rather clean. Overall, it was a great comfortable stay with excellent service - thank you Hotel Du Vin!

Only a short walk away from the centre of Cambridge, this little hotel is a hidden gem. The staff are friendly, the room was well-proportioned, the shower exceeded all expectations, and the beds are very comfortable. Will definitely book again.

Massive bed, lovely copper roll top baths but there were a few things in the room that didn’t work not many plug sockets and it was a bit dated and looked a bit tired.
