“Impressed with this beautiful old pub. Food is inventive and very reasonably priced, and quickly prepared. Service is bright and efficient, just what you need! Up very steep staircase to a delightful room with windows you can open and not be deafened by traffic, and a pleasant selection of tea, proper coffee bags etc. Decent soap and bodywash in the bathroom. The matress was a little lumpy but serviceablewho cares? Stunning views and a beautiful Ford nearly. Outside dining is in beautiful surroundings adjacent to a small river, shaded by lovely old trees. ”

“I visited this hotel for one night for a Gavin and Stacey Tour. The hotel is perfect for that as it's only a 10 minute drive to Barry Island. It's clean, tidy, and well-presented. The staff were helpful, especially with parking late at night as it seems to get quite full. No noise complaints, and Cardiff Airport seems fairly quiet so you shouldn't have issues with the hotel being so close. The only drawback for me was the mattress. It was a spring mattress and I could feel them underneath me. I'm used to a memory foam mattress at home so it could just be my preference, but it was quite uncomfortable. Thanks for the pleasant stay!”
