“We stayed in the family suite annexe. The rooms were clean and well presented. Cosmetically it might not be 100% perfect, but nothing of any concern and no stains, damage etc The beds are comfortable, bathroom facilities are clean and it was handy having a mini fridge and a lounge space once the kids were asleep. The breakfast is simple but suited our needs and the breakfast conservatory area was clean. The pool, whilst perhaps slightly dark/ dated in design kept the kids occupied after breakfast for half hour after checkout. Its 30c, so warmer than most leisure pools. Im just not sure about the carpet around the poolside. There's a huge grassy outdoor space for sunny evenings and energetic children to burn off some energy before bed. My only niggle is the shower temperature is very temperamental and is difficult to adjust it from either cold or too hot, even with tiny adjustments. Not ideal with young children. I suspect this is as much do with the water supply to the annexe...I wonder if an electric shower might be better? We didn't see the owner until we were almost ready to check out, but just like our last visit in 2018, he was friendly and chatty. It was cheaper to stay here than some of the local chain hotels in nearby thetford plus it comes with breakfast 😋 and nearby takeaways for dinner.”
