“The Schooner is an old hotel in need of a bit of a revamp in some areas but we knew that before we arrived. There is no carpark but free on street parking all around and we even found some despite there being some sort of 2 day art festival on. The location on the main highsteet is great and only minutes walking to Alnmouths beautiful beach.The staff were friendly and helpfull and the beer garden is lovely especially as it was a sunny weekend. The actual bar and restaurant area is also nice. Our room was small but more than adequate with a surprisingly modern bathroom. We didnt eat there so can't comment on that. I would definitely stay again for the price we paid. ”

“Excellent location, although parking for the whole village a problem . Friendly staff. Excellent well presented food. Area itself has internet and TV signal issues in bad weather. Clean comfortable room. Always seem to get the same one...think I will put my name on the door.😀 Excellent fire and emergency information.”
