“A little on the pricy side for a night in August in Balloch, but I had a nice room and really enjoyed my stay. The location between beautiful Drumkinnon bay and the Balloch hills is super. If I may please offer one suggestion, it would be for more fresh and plant-based options on the menu, which seemed a bit more on the roast and ‘deep fried’ side this time. Many thanks. ”

“Compte tenu des prix des hôtels dans la région, celui-ci convenait à notre budget. Oui il y a des partys les week-end et le personnel nous a bien avisé à notre arrivée.”

“远远超出我的想象，非常棒的民宿，公共区域很有设计感，房间很大，很舒适，我女儿非常喜欢。”

“Very welcoming staff, no towels in the room but quickly brought them to us. Great location with free parking, couple of mins walk to restaurants and the boat cruises. No iron/ironing board in the room and no dinner or breakfast served when we stayed. ”

“We arrived early than anticipated went in to be received by a lady on her phone when we asked if we could check in she said it's not till 3 and left it at that. No other response she could have been a lot more polite and maybe have said your more than welcome to wait in the bar or restaurant but no nothing just carried on with playing her phone. On the other hand the lovely gentleman helped us we sat and had food it was delicious then went to the room we were right at the back was a little noisy had what was required when in a room breakfast was lovely and the lady that served us was very pleasant overall I would stay again ”

“We usually stay in hotels rather than guesthouses, but the reviews for Gowanlea and Angela were very good. After spending a one night stop over there we can see why. Large room, comfortable bed and a fabulous choice of breakfast. Spotlessly clean and very close to supermarket, restaurants and pubs. Would like to have spent longer exploring the castle and walks. Would definitely use Gowanlea again if we are in the area. Thanks Angela.”
