“Sofraga palacio offered a most comfortable and luxurious stay in an ideal location just 5-7 minutes away from most major attractions including the Cathedral, Minor Basilica of Santa Teresa, and religious articles store with has some of St Teresa’s relics and a museum. Located just within the medieval walls of Avila, and 4 minutes away from the bus stop which leads to the Avila train station (and Church of St Vincent), the beautiful complex has a cafeteria and restaurant offering excellent meals. Breakfast (if included in your stay) was simple yet excellent in taste and you get to appreciate a good view of a section of the ancient walls. In fact, the walls leading up to the presidential suite within the hotel are real! I enjoyed my luxurious and affordable stay in a big room with all the amenities you need including a big TV with international news in English, a coffee machine and a small fridge. Loved the cool but not too cold weather which kept me fresh and alert! ”
