“I travel widely all over the world. Occassionally one is fortunate enough to find a little gem. This one is 5 minutes by cab from the airport, in a sleepy little village on the Camino trail. I asked for a late checkout which was met with ‘no problem’ take your time. The owner knows her business and the staff efficient, helpful and friendly. A big 10 out of 10. ”

“The Spanish seem to love online check in, which I absolutely detest. Agoda evidently has no clue about this because they mask the check in link so you cannot check in-- brilliant move Agoda! So then I have to do all this extra stuff just to check in, which is absolutely unacceptable. Then when I finally get to the room, I go to use the "hygienically sealed" toilet and see fecal matter stuck to the inside of the toilet and there was no brush to clean it myself. Then I tried to exit the bathroom and the sliding door will not open. There is no pull handle on the door only a slight depression where the lock is. When I managed to extricate myself-- literally a very painfull process--I told my wife not to shut the door whoch she promptly did. We had great difficulty opening the door again even with two us on both sides of the door trying to open it. Evidently there are no fire codes in Spain, because in addition to the dangerously unsafe door, they use the hallway outside the room to store their linen on large bags with only a narrow pathway between. The best thing about the room was the narrow glassed in balcony which helped to keep the noise down because this place in on a bar street. Spanish people are extremely loud when talking to each other, much more so when drunk which they all seem to be on weekends and they stay up all night. I am not fussy at all with accomadation, but I still know what things are worth and this place cost far too much for a defective bathroom (the shower also flucuates between very hot and very cold while you stand in it) and no one to answer the "24 hour" number we were given.”
