“I started off well, the front desk lady was super nice and friendly. Always smiling and with the polite word. When I entered my room, I realised that my request on the room allocation was not follow (room in the middle of the corridor, not top floor). The hotel is well kept but super dated. At first the room looked very clean, but when I opened the bed I found several hair of various size on the sheets. The bed made hell of a noise every time I moved. The bedspring was so light that it moved every time I got up (which must have been very annoying for the guest below). The bathtub smelled like pee which allowed me to understand that the cleaning process is just to make it LOOK clean rather than it being actually clean. The rooms are poorly soundproofed (I could hear the neighbours' conversation on each wall as well as above and below). When I got down to the breakfast room, the staff who attended me because I did not bring with me the keycard holder that they give you at the front desk when you check in that shows the room number (never had to do that in any hotel). I could tell the guy was close to send me back up to get it. Then when I was having breakfast and got up to get something else to eat, a staff member started to remove plates from my table. When I got back, he told me that I should have my key card's holder / paper with the room number on the table at all time so they know the table is still being used. Seriously, if you have such peculiar rules (once again, never experienced that in any other hotel in the world) you should announce it in a very clear manner upon check in. I have not been to the pool since the access was restricted (you have to register at the front desk to obtain 40min maximum use of the pool), the sauna cost 10 euros per session and the parking 15 euros. Breakfast ended at 10 am sharp (I stayed at hotel Port Hotel properties where the breakfast ended at 10h30 on Sunday morning - not here), the breakfast was absolutely nasty, disgusting coffee, the food was inedible. Once again, not the same standards as hotel Port Hotel properties. The bathroom has a soap dispenser and that's it, no bathroom accessories, no body lotion. I left the hotel exhausted due to lack of sleep and will not stay in this property again.”

“This was our second stay at this hotel. We were generally satisfied again with everything. However, we were only informed on our second day that the golf course was closed for preparations for an annual tournament. We were told that the hotel does not own the golf course and so has no control over it. If this is the case, we questioned how the hotel can advertise themselves as a golf resort. The hotel did arrange for me to play 9 holes and gave us a free spa voucher. Unfortunately, this did not make up for not being able to play 2 or 3 rounds of golf, which was one of the main reasons we booked to stay again. We should have been informed at the time of making our booking that the golf course would be closed as this should have been known. This definitely spoilt our stay and we need to carefully consider whether we would make another booking.”

“We stayed for two nights as part of my wife's 50th birthday celebrations and chose a room with a huge four poster bed. As was our stay the first time, it was everything we expected it to be. A lovely setting, perfectly located for all amenities and a fantastic visit. ”

“Family with kids. We could afford two separate rooms. Well furnished, good temperature, good linen, clean, good desk service. Breakfast buffet also very complete and correct. It was very good for our stay. No flaw at all.”
