“Le lieu est très beau: réveil avec vue sur la lagune depuis la jolie terrasse en bois. Chambre très spacieuse et confortable. Pas de petit déjeuner ou repas possible,mais un espace commun avec frigo, cuisine et tous ce qu'il faut pour se préparer à manger. Très bonne adresse pour faire une étape sur la Garden Route et visiter les alentours, notamment Knysna. ”

“My wife and I stayed for 3 nights as it was our anniversary. Staff were very welcoming, courteous and very helpful. Facilities were 'OK' which means I think there should be more things on offer at the hotel or better communication of what can be seen, done around Knysna. YES - we can all google, yes we can go to a tourist info kiosk but I think a hotel of this stature and price could do more. I also think the Hotel lacks atmosphere. People arrive, get a welcome, lovely staff and great breakfast and lovely boat trip - nothing else. I would and have suggested a 'happy hour' in the Bar Area where everyone has a personal invitation to join between 6pm-7.30pm. Cocktails and/or general drinks offered together with savoury snacks. Not everyone will come but generally people do come and this will create a great social atmosphere. There is one caveat - the staff need to be trained on how to serve cocktails as the Aperol Spritzer we had was terrible. I've visited many hotels worldwide and I have found those that offer this service get great recommendations. Something to think about for management. ”

“This place is absolutely gorgeous! The staff is extraneous kind. Francois and Cheryl treated us so well. The room and the bathroom are super spacious with huge beds, very clean and comfortable. The gardens were lush green and beautifully maintained. They had 2 beautiful swimming pools but unfortunately the weather was too cold for us to enjoy them. The breakfast spread was nice and delicious. Overall we had a very nice stay. Definitely coming back soon! Thank you guys for everything ”

“I would recommend Overmeer Guest House to anyone looking for a place to relax and take in the view. The rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was even ready as takeaway as I had to go out very early for the Knysna Forest Marathon. Staff very friendly and ready to assist with any queries. Would definitely book with them again should I find myself in Knysna again.”
