“The Ha Giang Loop journey typically starts in Ha Giang, heads to Dong Van, and then returns to Ha Giang. I booked My Boutique Hotel at the last minute, but it provided a level of satisfaction that far exceeded my expectations. Above all, we received a warm and kind welcome upon arrival. The room was spotless, and the facilities and interior design were of a high standard that perfectly meets the expectations of Korean travelers. While it isn't located right in the absolute center of town, the walk to the main area is short and gives you a lovely opportunity to see the small town of Dong Van. Furthermore, being situated away from the Dong Van night market makes it a wonderfully quiet and peaceful place to rest late at night. The breakfast is reasonably priced, yet it was so clean and well-prepared with all the essential dishes that we felt no need to look elsewhere for our morning meals, allowing us to enjoy a highly satisfying family dining experience. The outdoor terrace, in particular, offered breathtakingly beautiful views of the magnificent landscape surrounding Dong Van. Because Ha Giang is quite a distance from Hanoi, it isn't the easiest destination to visit, but I would absolutely recommend this hotel to any other travelers planning to go there.”

“ I stayed in the dormitory room. Each bed has curtains on three sides (all but the wall), but none of them close properly—leaving a gap of about 40cm wide open. There’s no privacy whatsoever. On top of that, a rat ran right past the side of my bed. I’m not joking—I was genuinely made to sleep in the same room as a rat. There was no mosquito net either, so I was swarmed by insects all night and couldn’t sleep properly. There are also no lockers. And yet, they have no problem clearly stating in their policy that “theft is at your own risk.” The bathroom was pretty awful too—far from what I’d call clean. Furthermore, even though I’d booked a plan that included breakfast, there was no guidance about it at all, and in the end I never got to have it. “English” is listed among the languages they support, but the staff barely speak any, and even basic communication is a struggle. If I had to say something in their favor, it would only be that the location was good and the staff were friendly.”

“Only good things to say! The views are beyond breathtaking - waking up before sunrise to see the mist hovering in the valley is unmissable. The tents are very cozy and comfortable and the attention to detail is 5 star: a mirror, hangers for your clothes, a box of Kleenex, etc. We had so much fun having family-style dinner with Xing and Anh Li and the other couple staying there, and the food was delicious! My tips: unless you’re a very confident and experienced motorbike driver, don’t drive the tiny winding path from the main road to the campsite! Park your bike up there by the shop where indicated and walk. Bring the folding chairs inside the tent at night if you want them to be dry in the morning so you can sit on them. The only thing I would wish to add to this experience is that there would be a kettle accessible to guests in the morning, so if you want to make tea or coffee after watching the sunrise you don’t have to wait an hour or two until the hosts serve breakfast. But minor detail. It was absolutely an amazing stay: don’t miss it if you have the chance!”
