“I had family business in town and needed a quick, convenient place to stay. There are tons of chain hotels in the surrounding area, but the Inn is a quiet respite and my go to hotel. With the tri-college campuses on winter break, it was even quieter. But the staff was still friendly and accommodating, and it looks like the hotel is taking advantage of the downtime to spruce up the place with fresh paint. Fitness room is adequate with quality Precor treadmills, bikes, elliptical machines, and a small assortment of free weights. Not the poshest place but definitely welcoming, clean, and comfortable.”

“Easy check in, parking was very close but not part of the hotel so there is a charge. Breakfast served by friendly staff, omelets cooked to your specifications. Happy hour with two free drinks was a nice touch. light snacks were also free, cheese, chips, trail mix, assorted fruit, etc. I enjoyed my stay.”

“We are in South Bend often but had never stayed at this hotel. Its on par with others we stay at with better value for your money. The staff is attentive, the room was clean and quiet, the pillows and bed were comfortable. The location is less desirable for walking, but it is a very short drive to ND, is across from a coffee shop and has plenty of parking. Would definitely stay again. ”

“I also wanted to give a five star review because when I first walked in my room was so beautiful. Once I figured out the air-conditioning and I got everything cooled off, I was happy and glad to be able to rest for my busy day. The hotel is under construction so I had to go through some messing in the hallway to get to my room and I was careful so I wouldn’t trip or anything. But then it was 7:45 at night and there was hammering over my head. I was too tired to call the front desk. This noise kept on for a long time. There was also this electric saw noise that seemed like it was coming from outside. This went on until 9:30 PM. I tried to shut it out mentally, but I don’t know what was going on because there has to be some type of ordinance that this is not supposed to occur. My night was good, the bed was clean and comfy. Then I saw the shower and my heart sank because there was mold. So someone is coming in every time someone checks out of this room and cleaning the room, but they’re not scrubbing out the mold. Also, the inside of the bathroom door was dirty, it looked like blood, but I don’t know what it was, it’s not like I had a black light on me. I was so disappointed and kind of creeped out. I hope they can get the stuff fixed, the noise will be over soon, but even when there’s construction going on, employee should not be working after 6 o’clock at night when there are guests at a hotel. The cleanliness of the bathroom has to be better. Why on earth would mold be in the tile? And some type of crap on the inside of the bathroom door? If I’m in the area again, I may give the *** another try, but I really wish I didn’t experience the noise and the mold and the dirty inside of the bathroom door. ”
