“I’m not a regular traveler and booked my stay based on reviews. That said: The building isn’t as the picture portrays. It’s old and unwelcoming. There was a construction crew in the middle of the parking lot & I couldn’t tell what they were doing. The blacktop was a patched trip hazard. Inside, the entry is dingy & dark. The desk clerk sat on a stool - no “Good Evening” no “Enjoy your Stay” just “we have wi-fi & breakfast” nodding to a dark hole with booths and chairs straight out of the 80’s. Dark. Dingy. Unwelcoming. My room was okay - Clean enough but the a/c-heater didn’t warm the room to the 80 degrees it was set to initially warm the room and no blanket. I froze. Old & dingy. The carpet was wrinkled and needed replacement or re-stretching. To top everything my room overlooked an active railroad. Unwelcoming, cold, dark, railroad. Thank goodness my seminar offered a light breakfast- there was no way I’d stay for theirs. Thank goodness I only had to stay one night otherwise I would have checked out & looked at the Holiday Inn next door. Lesson learned. Don’t believe the pictures.”

“I chose between this hotel and another on the strength of their cleanliness scores, assuming the cleanliness also applied to the pools..., only to find their pool was closed (unknown reason). This was our second pool in a row like this for us this week. I may be developing a Conspiracy theory: Is it cheaper to inconveniently "break" the pools so you do not have run and maintain them? Deters the parents with kids that run up and down the hallways all night. I know this is not fair of me but it is worth a second thought. No? In summary - a LOVELY hotel with great service personnel. Why can't all the hotels have a high standard?”

“I booked this motel online and it said it had out door swimming pool but when we got there the rude lady at desk said no pool it’s closed she said I asked why it was closed she said she did not know she said cause he boss said so . I told her I didn’t want to stay there then because my son who has cerebral palsy wanted to swim and if pool was closed we did not want to stay she said she couldn’t conceal the reservation that I had to call whoever I booked it online with that she had no way to conceal it , I said can u see me on that cp your looking at and she said yes she could I said then u can cancel it , I told her I understood that I could be charged a fee to cancel I still wanted it canceled cause it did not have what we booked it for . She said can’t cancel it and I left . My card was charged for two nights I did not even use . That’s wrong if you ask me I realized the charge of some kind but not two nights stay amount. Lesson learned thanks but no thanks won’t book there again false advertising if u ask me . ”
