“I purchased the room out of necessity due to a family emergency, and still had to work from home. Upon arrival, you receive a burnt chocolate chip cookie and immediately get charged an extra $50 for "incidents". This should be returned within 72 hours after check-out, I was told, but I haven't noticed it four days after check-out. Upon arriving at my room, it smelled like BBQ and BO for the first two nights, so I purchased a candle to get rid of the smell. The location advertises internet, but it was nonexistent. The internet wouldn't stay connected long enough for me to do my job and meet my deadlines, since I had to work at night. Instead, I had to go to the hospital at 5 am to complete handwritten notes on information found on my phone. When I would return at night, there was no water pressure, and the shower was lukewarm and not relaxing at all. When I finally had an opportunity to take advantage of the breakfast, it looked good, but has the consistency of rubber. It's a good property for a quick stay when you don't have work to do.”

“The holiday inn was the perfect getaway for my husband and me. Because it was reasonably priced and in a great location, we were able to explore Charlottesville. The room was very clean, the staff were accommodating, and they were helpful. The only thing we wished there were more of were towels for our room. Thanks so much for a great stay!”

“Loved the location close to UVA sports venues and right across the street from Barracks Rd shopping center. Pool, small gym, basketball court. Nice to have a kitchen and living room. But our nonsmoking room was almost full unbearably smoky. We don't think it was the actual room, but rather blow in thru the ac/heat vents. Ruined what would have been a very positive experience. Also, charging for parking (although it was nominal), in that location seems unnecessary.”

“We booked this hotel for our weekend getaway to Charlottesville. It's on the outskirts but was really central to all we wanted to see - Monticello. Uni of Virginia, Carter Orchards, Downtown Mall. The room was clean and met our needs of a place to sleep - we really didn't spend much time here. Beds are comfy, showers are adequate, always had hot water. Complimentary breakfast was simple but delicious. Lots of places around for a quick bite, we popped into Wegmans across the road for snacks.”
