“Gilgamesh is the best value for money in this otherwise expensive town. The owner and his family are welcoming and friendly. Stunning views from the terrace! Rooms feel authentic and cozy.”

“Very stylish boutique hotel, clean and comfortable. The staff was very responsive in replying messages. I very much enjoyed their breakfast and their coffee machine. The downside is access. It is no where near a road, so it is inaccessible by car. I parked 15 minutes walk from the hotel. Need to climb a lot of stairs and even by walking it is not easy to find. But it is located in the old city, so the walk back and worth is part of my visit to Mardin”

“Great location just A few blocks from the main part of the old city. Easy walk to restaurants. Very quiet location. Beautiful rooms like an old Palace. Great breakfast buffet.”

“The hotel is nice, cleanly, the view is nice. However it is in an undeveloped area of old Mardin. Walking back at night is dirty, unlit and disorienting. The staff are nice/helpful.. but awkward. The office is on the patio, they seem to just hang around, more like a friends house than a hotel. Parking, a pain. tiny obscure lot patrolled by traffic police, or a long walk from the west end of Mardin. Personally, I think for the same price you would be happier in a hotel on the main street. Not a bad hotel - but an honest review.”

“I felt safe and truly well taken care of during my stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering great local recommendations. —honestly, he felt more like local guides than hotel staff 🤣🥰✨ (his name is ismail) The room was spacious, warm, and spotlessly clean with daily housekeeping. The location is excellent—close to major attractions yet quiet and relaxing. I really loved staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. ”
