“We stayed in villa 1. It is a very quaint Thai building with a large garden and beautiful scenery. There is also a swimming pool and a large hammock. It is very suitable for quiet relaxation and is very primitive. There are many monkeys near the room, and of course there are living things like insects. There are many rubber trees around. The butler service here is very good, the transportation service is also very good, and the locals I met are very simple and friendly. The food cooked by the butler is very authentic and delicious. Suggestions: 1. Suggestions for tourists. We came during the rainy season, so the beach was unexpectedly full of plastic garbage. The owner said that the sea water was very clear during the peak season. It was a pity that we did not see such a view. If you want to come here, it is recommended to come around Christmas and try not to come during the rainy season. 2. Suggestions for the owner: Only one bedroom in the three-story building has air conditioning, and the rest of the space is really stuffy. If possible, cooling equipment should really be added.”

“Loved my stay here, the perfect place if you want to get away from it all. It’s pretty remote though so 3 nights is plenty. Staff are lovely, there’s some really nice bars and restaurants along the beach - it’s all very laid back. My only negatives to mention is there’s no a/c so you’re reliant on a fan at night to keep you cool, the sea is pretty rocky so take extra care getting in & out - oh & beware the monkeys! But that only adds to the charm of the place. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend ”

“Quick note before the review to put this into context. These are not your average cheap huts, this is next level and comes with the price tag! But it's definitely worth that price tag if you are looking for a little slice of luxury... KJBV is a magical haven in a less travelled island. The beach it sits behind is long, and was a little tatty towards the end of the season whilst we were there - it's quite rocky especially when the tide is out, but we spent most of our time in our private pool in Baan Sabai, or in the larger (cooler) pool close to the restaurant available to all guests. The villas are fantastic, and built to a very high standard and design ethic. All are tucked away amongst jungle or are beach side, but they all give a wonderful secluded feel. Lots of wildlife here - sea eagles, monitor lizards, birds... and whilst we didn't actually see the monkeys we heard them hooting every day. We had fantastic breakfasts delivered to our villa every morning, too much for us to eat, so we had to reduce our daily order. The food at the restaurant was delicious and well priced. Our hosts gave us a couple of recommendations where to eat locally that were great (especially Koh Jum Seafood) and from Jum we had a great day trip out up to Chicken and Poda Islands and Railay Beach. The locals on Koh Jum and the staff at KJBV made ours a memorable stay on Koh Jum. If you are looking for a little luxury on a quiet island, and can afford it - I would highly recommended Koh Jum Beach Villas.”

“We loved this place. The room was clean with some nice personal touches. The common bathrooms were also clean and fresh. The common area and restaurant was gorgeous with a view overlooking the village harbour. The food at the restaurant was delicious. The place also had the cutest cats. Most importantly the family running the place was so lovely, kind and welcoming, we definitely hope to be back some day!”
