“Très bel hôtel, moderne avec un personnel professionnel et sympathique. Les chambres sont spacieuses, modernes et offrent une très belle vue sur l'océan. Les seuls bémols sont l'ascenseur qui tarde énormément à venir, et le choix du buffet petit-déjeuner qui est assez restreint pour un établissement de cette envergure.”

“We were very pleasantly surprised by the Octant in Ponta Delgada. I booked the sea view room as a gift for my sisters birthday. The room was really spacious with a nice terrace overlooking the marina and modern interior. A special plus should be mentioned for the pillow menu that was supplied. The staff was exceptionally welcoming and friendly throughout our stay - a big thank you to the entire team (especially Luis and Mariana)! The spa facility is beautiful yet very small compared to the size of the hotel. The facilities only include a small finnish sauna, turkish steam sauna, a small pool (with cool water) and a relaxation area with 5 beds. The spa staff were very professional and the massage we booked was exceptional. The only aspect we disliked was that the no-kids spa rule was not withheld, making our last spa day less enjoyable. Furthermore, it was a bit disappointing that neither the pool on the rooftop nor the pool in the spa was heated. On our last night we ordered drinks from the Whale Watching Bar which were really good and the bar keeper was very friendly and enthusiastic. Compared to the Octant in Furnas, this hotel is way more modern, has larger rooms and is better located (near to the airport and pick up point for tours). We highly recommend anyone visiting the island to stay here. ”

“Hotel is located in the outskirts of Ponta Delgada, so everything is accessible by car (max 7 min until city center). Hotel is surrounded by massive garden, everything is nice. There is a free parking (lots of places). Breakfast is good, you can order omelette from chef. Standard rooms have a terrace with garden view, very nice addition. The only downside for the rooms is lack of ventilation, especially in bathroom, so it gets super humid from shower and weather itself. AC is basic, so it does not remove moisture. We have found much better option nearby for the same price. ”

“Located along a small street (don't rent a big car if you plan to stay in this city), with street parking. The lobby is the the most impressively decorated. The room is decent but nothing fantastic. Bathroom was a little dated.”
