“Overlooking a vineyard, you can walk around the property and nearly fields. There are many orange trees, grape Vines, and flowers. Overall a beautiful spot. The views from the room are incredible. The drive here is a bit stressful as you are on very steep, narrow cobblestone roads. It's something to keep in mind if you aren't used to driving on these sorts of roads. It is a little hard to find even with navigation. Be sure to read the signs on the road pointing you towards the property. Once you get here you won't want to leave.”

“Our stay was marvellous. Muralhas is perfect. Beautiful place, retaining features of the original building. Decor and cleanliness is superb. Centrally located in the heart of beautiful Lamego. The stay was enhanced by the kindness and attention of Dona Zilda and Ricardo who bent over backwards to give a wonderful breakfast.”

“Beautiful 1-bedroom cottage (former water mill) beside the river. Very clean and with almost all that is needed for a comfortable stay. It’s about 5 minutes by car to the nearest village, Figueira, where there is a church with Mass said at 10.00 a.m. every Sunday. To Lamego it takes 12 minutes by car. Nice city to explore. There is a beautiful hiking route that starts just outside the quinta. It’s part of a non-circular 41 km route but one can do just a few kilometres and then return. Most of it follows the Varosa river. A few suggestions for improvement: To provide bottled water (as the water from the tap is not drinkable without first boiling), basic staples like oil, salt, pepper and sugar for cooking (there were some things leftover by other guests but no oil for cooking) and also to have facilities for recycling. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. Thank you Francisca and Henrique for very quickly solving the problem we had! Five stars to both of you! 😊 Hope to come back again.”
