Not ideal if gusto niyo mag-ikot sa tourist spots and restaurants and you want to go back and forth from the accommodation to the city proper. Common CR. If you're going on a weekend, hassle if you're someone like me na palaging naiihi pag malamig. Not much to do here except looking at the view, which you can also get naman from hotels and homestays sa city proper. Yung natipid namin sa accommodation cost nagastos din namin sa taxi. There are hazards din sa dadaanan if naka taxi ka or private vehicle ka. If you're just looking for someplace quiet where you can also work and be surrounded by beautiful views, okay ito. If you're a family with a toddler like us tho, I wouldn't recommend this. :)”

“We chose Rosepine Hotel because we were planning to visit Mt. Kalugong the next day, and the location is very convenient and nearby. We arrived at around 6 PM on our motorcycle, while it was raining. One thing I immediately noticed was the lack of shaded parking for motorcycles. Since the basement parking is not yet open, it would be helpful if they could provide a covered parking area near the entrance, especially during rainy weather. The security guards were friendly and welcoming, and even the dog was very friendly! 😊 The lobby is located on the second floor. Since we were wet from the rain, we were really looking forward to taking a warm shower. When we entered our room, it smelled really nice and clean, which gave us a good first impression. Unfortunately, when my husband tried to shower, the water heater stopped heating after about 30 seconds. We called the receptionist, and the maintenance staff came immediately to fix it. However, when we tried it again, the same problem happened. We called the reception several times but no one answered, so my husband eventually had to go downstairs himself to report the problem again. This was probably the most frustrating part of our stay. We were already tired and wet, and it took around 1.5 hours before the issue was finally sorted out and we could finish showering and have dinner. Thankfully, the hotel has a restaurant, and the food was good. Breakfast was also tasty, and I was pleasantly surprised by how huge the coffee was! ☕ We also appreciated having a balcony where we could open the door and enjoy some fresh air. The bed was a little small for us. It felt more like a double bed rather than a queen-sized bed. The staff were generally nice, although some seemed quite shy and could probably benefit from a little more training, particularly when it comes to assisting and communicating with guests. Another suggestion would be to add clearer signage for both the hotel and restaurant that is easily visible from the road. It would make the property much easier to spot, especially for guests arriving for the first time. Overall, our experience was fine. There were definitely some inconveniences, particularly with the water heater and communication with reception, but we also appreciated the friendly security staff, good food, tasty breakfast, balcony, and convenient location near Mt. Kalugong. With a few improvements, especially in guest service, parking, signage, and room maintenance, the experience could be much better. ”
