“Lovely and staff were super friendly and helpful. Nice traditional pub with food but rooms are in a separate quieter spot. Adorable pub dog and parrot were amazing to see. Only reason for 4 stars on facilities was the lack of WiFi.”

“We arrived late in the evening and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who took us up to our room. The hotel had a lovely old (but also slightly dated) feel about it with small doorways, uneaven floors and exposed beams etc. We stayed in Room 3, which was on the second floor and had a nice rear view of the town and hills (beautiful sunrise). The room was small and cosy, with nice decor, albeit slight dated. The queen bed was comfy enough. The bathroom was fine, apart from a really creaky and loose feeling toilet. Shower was good with a high pressure. The room was really quiet also which is nice. Unfortunately the green emergency exit light above the rear door (next to the bed) kept me awake all night because it was too bright and illuminated the entire room. However upon telling the staff this they offered us a free cooked breakfast which was nice of them and took the sting of a poor sleep away. The breakfast was really good, with excellent sausages and a good selection of cereals, fruit, etc. Fresh local pastries, instead of plastic packaged ones, would have made it even better. Altogether a great stay and we would stay again, in a different room.”
