“Fantastic location, historical buildings and peacefully quiet.”

“Staff were warm and welcome on arrival. The room we were in was comfortable and clean. Hairdryer supplied (decent one for a change). Attended a function here and the food was good too. Only negative comment would be that some of the other rooms needed a bit of tlc. Nothing major just a bit dated. Overall couldn’t fault the place.”

“Nice hotel with nice bar in a nice location. However WiFi in our room was so weak it kept dropping out and no central heating as appeared to be a problem with the radiator. Just about tepid and despite informing staff in the morning after our first night still no heat when returned on second night and no explanation left or reference made until I raised the issue when checking out, and then it was a quick sorry and we’ll have a look at it! So, although many positives overall disappointing due to the above. ”

“Told them about sink leak they haven’t done a thing. Came to look at it. Were very polite. Stuck a towel in the back. No one has been to repair it. I think it has been forgotten about. Window locks are weak and broke . However staff are gorgeous, polite and cannot help enough. The location is stunning. Though it is very much self help. You do check yourself in. You learn your own way around. I would however stay again and the price is more than acceptable!. The rooms are beautiful with obvious updates needed like shower grouting. Cleaners check drawers when cleaning the room etc.”
