“We stayed 2 nights in executive room which was spacious and comfortable. Hotel is a little dated now but still represents good value for the price paid. On one of the mornings, breakfast was very crowded due to a function the night before and there wasn’t enough staff assisting. It’s a short walk to the village where there’s a good pub should you want to get out of the hotel.”

“Location unbeatable and excellent rooms however food appears to have declined in quality at the same rate that it has increased in price. Drinks and food have become very expensive as they have a virtual monopoly. Buffet breakfast comprised tired-looking food, with no brown bread option. Dinner last night took almost two hours for two courses, yet the 1907 restaurant was not busy. The chips disappointed as neither crisp nor hot. Our experience (about the fifth visit in as many years) was that the standard has slipped since last year.”

“Staying here so can be close to My Daughter.Did not use Hotel as such,They did allow me to park here whilst spent 2 days in London. Previous Food and drink very poor. Room needs upgrade, especially bathroom. No feather pillows or rain shower. Quite noisey. ”

“Very nice accomodation with lots of character and charm. Friendly helpful staff. We did have problems with the heating thermostat in our room and when we returned in the evening our room had not been serviced. Looking forward to returning again soon. ”
