“The room was stunning, staff were amazing. Drinks expensive and the noise level was horrendous untill 3pm. The hotel was very noisy and it spoilt our stay. Didn't expect a full blown night club with doors slamming, and music blearing. Room was clean Ideal location Was just the noise level that was a let down to us.”

“Stayed on a weekend. A busy hotel due to golfing club and spa on site. Great for groups into golfing or those that want to have a spa weekend. We booked because they have a pool but the pool was smaller than the pictures implied and when I went to use it early Sat afternoon it was very busy with groups of women enjoying the loungers, Spa and whirlpool facilities. Not a pool for swimming lengths in. All staff we encountered were friendly and smiling, from the cleaning lady to the staff on reception and the waiting staff in the dining room. Our room was clean with comfortable bed, but I found the pillows too soft. Tea/coffee and complimentary bottled water was present. Great breakfast, cooked full English to yoghourt, fruit , continental style. The main bar area was large nicely laid out but on Friday night they had a live band during the late evening which livened the bar area but was too loud to be able to sit after dinner and enjoy a drink and conversation with our guests. Maybe having an alternative quite bar area for guests not wanting a loud bar would be lovely. The Rider Grill restaurant is very busy so book well ahead. The only table they had was at 8:45pm which we booked online a few days before our arrival but they managed to shift us to an earlier time of 8:15 once we had checked in and we had a chat to the restaurant staff on the night. The service was great and the meal good. For group and family get-togethers or christening / wedding parties great hotel but not if you're looking for a quite romantic couples getaway. ”

“We stayed here for an event nearby. Check in was quick and easy, the room was comfortable, clean and spacious. We did not have the food so can’t comment on this. We had access to the spa- pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi which was lovely, quiet even on a weekend and such a treat! This made it good value for money for us and we would recommend and stay again”

“We found Brook Marston farm as an affordable overnight stay close by to Moxhull Hall - it is near to the canal and a pretty set up of the rooms around the courtyard The decor is quite dated, curtains, carpets etc all varying aging patterns and colours but if you just need somewhere to stay - it is clean, good value, fresh bed linen and good sized clean bathroom too. Breakfast was standard, fine for one day, Dog and doublet pub a short walk along the canal seemed like an average canalside pub, but also provides surprisingly good, freshly cooked Chinese/Asian cuisine! I imagine it would BOOM with a bit of a refurb, but would stay again overnight if needed to be in the area ”
