“We broke our journey from Suffolk to Cornwall with a pre-booked night at the Britannia. The pub is a few metres from the centre of Sherborne, a lovely building, friendly staff and locals in the bars and an excellent room. The shower room was clean, everything worked, the room was ample in size with a comfortable bed and beautifully crisp linen. If we are anywhere near we will stay again. We have already recommended the pub to friends.”

“We had driven down from Bristol and arrived in car park at 5.20 only to find pub shut with no one around. I have never known a pub with accommodation to be shut at that time! However, once we gained access at about 6.00pm , everything started improving. A table was booked for our evening meal, there were plenty of choices and the meal arrived hot, nicely cooked and choice of small or large ! Desserts were imaginative and good, and our breakfast order was taken whilst we were at the table. Next morning breakfast was freshly cooked, just what we had asked for, and enabled us to have an early start. The staff were happy to comply with guests and the one night stay was very enjoyable.”
