“Booked basic accommodation but didn’t expect neglected. On arrival the toilet had not been flushed. The room was compact to say the least with chipped paintwork, stained carpet and mildew on the window frames. The shower could not be used due to a very low ceiling. Breakfast was not great; full Anglian first day with low quality streaky bacon and sausage. Next day, I tried avocado with poached eggs on sourdough which unfortunately had not been seasoned - eggs were overcooked and had no finishing touches as portrayed in hotel promo pics. On leaving breakfast room, staff were discussing shifts by the front desk while holding guests breakfasts! All in all, sadly a disappointing stay and would not return. Desperately needs some loving care and attention to detail, both in the rooms and to improve breakfast quality. ”

“Sam and her daughters were very welcoming . Carried my luggage upstairs for me as I have a sore hip. Also carried it out to the car at the end of my stay. The BnB was very tastefully decorated with lots of special touches like a mini fridge in the room, a good sized TV and an extremely comfortable bed & pillows . Highly recommend ✨”

“Few days birdwatching so this is great location for e.g Minesmere. Room very clean and ‘compact’ which was fine for me as on my own. Small toilet / shower room under eaves was a bit of a challenge as I am 6ft 4ins. Breakfast was very good and the bar had some good ‘ale’. ”

“Stayed here after reading reviews. Had a terrific four poster bed room with balcony. Very shabby chic with a bit more shabby than chic but nonetheless great value for money. Hard to find as it’s very tucked away. Lady running the place was very friendly and helpful”
