“Check in was easy and met with a great receptionist. Do bare in mind It’s £7 for parking and spaces are limited. Reception did call through to my room and I had to go and speak regarding an issue with the booking but transpires they received an “odd” email and it was more to protect myself and card details that they discussed it with me so that was appreciated. Facilities like a small gym, pool and steam room available which was nice and the hotel and room itself was clean if not a little dated. What let the stay down was I ordered a pint of Corona at the bar and sat down to unwind. The pint tasted more like Cruzcampo. I did finish the pint and went to the bar. I explained I’ll change to a bottled Peroni, the young girl behind said what’s wrong with it and I said it’s just not my taste, no complaint, not asking for a fresh pint just me asking what I’d like. She gave me a look and didn’t even reply which I thought was rude. I finished and put the bottle on the bar and said thank you to just be met with another off look and no acknowledgment. Later I returned about 11 and thought I’ll have a night cap, the girl was obviously preparing to finish however when I approached the bar, before I even spoke she said “I’m closing, if you want a drink you need to find the night porter” Sorry but someone who’s spent a lot of years within the hospitality industry, this is unacceptable. Yes, your finishing however you still have a duty to provide excellent customer service and the proper way around that would have been to either serve me or say “I’ll just find you the night porter” The night porter was fantastic, found the service I received from his colleague was extremely poor. I paid for my drink and gave him a £50 tip as a a thank you. This girl also spent the best part of my first hour leaned over the prep counter underneath the bar on her phone. I appreciate it wasn’t busy but that’s also unprofessional. Due to this member, I won’t be staying again and I’d much rather go to the nearby Moxy, a 2 minute walk where it’s much more modern, a better range of drinks and the staff were a lot more customer focused.”

“It was a pretty good price and comfortable facility. However, it was uncomfortable to carry my luggage in the parking lot, and there was no dedicated parking facility. And it's a shame that the breakfast menu is the same every day.”

“Best price available for this quality hotel. Location right in centre, and able to walk easily to shops and tourist areas. Parking right next to hotel only £7.50 for 24 hours. ”

“Enjoyed our stay. Once inside, the hotel was welcoming and comfortable. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious. Some finishes in the room looked a little tired and the bed linen wasn't a great fit. The only real gripe was the location - next to several large building sites. On the Saturday night we stayed there was no noise but it was not pleasant walking from and to the car park through a deserted and poorly lit development area.”
