“The food in 1892 for breakfast and evening meals were excellent and staff were great. We were disappointed with the room for the first night and the staff were helpful to get us moved to a quieter room for the second night. Both rooms we visited are starting to look and feel a bit tired with a few faults found in each. The level of refinement and comfort did not meet our expectations and I would not consider the rooms, at least the ones we were in (502 & 604) were to a 5 star level. We were looking forward to our stay which was booked months in advance, but sadly our overall experience fell short of the 5 star luxury we were expecting.”

“We enjoyed our stay here for the long weekend. Great location for Pitlochry and the room we had for a family room was clean, spacious and pleasant. My only negative would be to say although the breakfast was fantastic, it would be good to have different options as it was the same choices every day. Some potato scones and eggs cooked in different ways would be nice ”
