“Our stay at Cliveden House was good. The location was great, with beautiful views. The facilities were top-notch, and you could feel the history walking around the hotel and grounds. The staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring a pleasant experience. If I’m being really picky…we were greeted with the assumption that we were there to use the spa and had parked in the wrong place (I can only assume this was because I turned up in shorts and a Tshirt!), they forgot my morning paper, they were out of chicken when I ordered a club sandwich, and the room seemed to be mid-decoration (you could smell paint and see clear brush strokes along the ceiling). Sometimes it’s the little details that make the difference and that’s why I wouldn’t rate the stay absolutely perfect. ”

“We stay for 2 nights at the Bel and Dragon , very cosy pub. We stayed in Mrs Bagglet room bed really comfy bed my only complaint was you could hear the hand dryer in toilets beneath us in pub area and clink clonking loud noises late at night, also doors banging I only could think we where also near the kitchen. As for staff pleasant enough but one member of staff was not trained enough of knowing what different types of red wine they had , he told us no he didn't have one type of wine when I had a glass the night before. But not his fault if not shown. Also at breakfast on last day i am assuming the lady was a manager for super visor she wasn't very pleasant quite abrupt in speaking to guests.”

“Comfortable, reasonable room prices. Gorgeous food. A hidden gem because you tend to think a Conference Centre will be basic, but it’s not! Beautiful surroundings behind the front exterior.”

“This is a gorgeous building renovated very tastefully. Staff are extremely helpful. We had breakfast and dinner included in our rate, breakfast was lovely but dinner was not qite as good.”

“I'll be back. Yes, I have stayed here a couple of times now and, though it is probably quite basic in modern terms, the hotel is clean and there are some nice touches (e.g. tea/coffee in room with nice little packs of biscuits). Fair room prices usually.”
