“Good and comfortable hotel for a quick trip, far from town and not much around, not even a corner shop in the walking distance. Breakfast was fine, though no replenishment of food closer to 10pm, so you need to be there well before closing time. Reception and bar staffs very helpful. ”

“This was a lovely place stayed here with my in-laws and 2 young children aged 7 months and 4. All was great until the Saturday evening there was a wedding in a gazebo virtually attached to our window so had to close our curtains from early evening privacy wise and then the DJ started from early evening until 12 with loud singing afterwards where we may aswell have been at the wedding. Got very little sleep with the baby disturbed and grief from the wife and in-laws thereafter. I appreciate weddings bring in money and have no issue with them but would have been good to know regarding the proximity to our accommodation as would have just booked somewhere else. Otherwise lovely staff , good food, hot showers and clean rooms. ”

“We were looking for somewhere comfortable and decent value mid week, for a couple of nights whilst helping my parents move. Katie’s place worked out really well - we had the family apartment which was more spacious than I expected, with a comfortable bed , decent shower and small lounge/ kitchenette. Breakfast was healthy and good quality too. The location by the river is pretty and it was convenient for us, but you are dependent on transport as there’s no pavement if you wanted to walk into Harpenden. Would happily return if we needed to be in the area again. ”

“Room was good,and the staff were polite and curious other than than rather disappointing. The TV had limited channels. This day and age should have at least all free to air channels. Also I had evening meal had a steak which was cooked perfectly but unfortunately I considered it only half a meal as arrived with instant mash and no vegetables or side salad. Apparently vegetables were considered as an extra and for £23. Was definitely not value for money. For these reasons I could not recommend. Perhaps management will take this comment on board. Especially concerning the meal”

“We booked a room as we visited family in the local area. The size of the room was adequate enough to fit in our suitcases and for our little one to roam, the bathroom was a decent size - with a full sized tub suitable for a bath and shower experience. The AC in the room was fantastic as we landed during a heatwave. The room cleaning was done daily every morning, however, due to lazy mornings we did not have our room cleaned more than once. As we were mostly out in the afternoons it would be nice if they had an afternoon room clean option. We bought our own water and snacks, and the only thing we truly missed was having a fridge and microwave to have more home comforts within the room. The location was great, 15 minute walk into town, 15 minutes to Airport Parkway station and local shops around the corner. Will definitely book again!”
