“We booked this hotel as we have enjoyed staying at a couple of De Vere hotels in the past. We chose this particular one as we have relatives in the area. We were not surprised by the friendliness of the staff and the cleanliness of our room. The hotel staff thought we did not pay for our breakfast which we have done! They did find out that we did but every morning we had to talk to the waiting staff at the dining room that we were not trying to eat for free! The ventilation unit in the bathroom did not work and there was no small fridge. Only one chair in the room. Choice of evening meals was ok but no fish and chips on the menu! We will definitely return. ”

“My recent stay at Thatchers had been a wonderful experience offering excellent value for money, especially if you're looking for a charming stay in a traditional-style building. The surroundings are peaceful and quiet, making iflt a great place to relax and unwind. The room was pleasantly spacious and comfortable, which madecthe stay more enjoyable while the location is slightly remote, there is a pub/restaurant within walking distance, which is convenient. That said, having a far would be very helpful, as the nearest town, Guildford is about a 15-20 min drive away from the town centre. Overall its a lovely choice foe those who appreciate a tradition and tranquil setting at a very reasonable price i would definitely love to stay here again!”
