“I first came to the Chequers Inn many years ago when it was a tradional pub restaurant. Over this time it has evolved to become a super small hotel with great food. I have eaten in the bar or restaurant from time to time for over 20 years and always enjoyed the food and friendly staff. This was the first occasion that I have stayed in the hotel. We had a ground floor room close to reception which was nicely furnished with a comfortable bed and a small table and chairs. The shower room was compact not still had plenty of room. My only slight gripe was that there is no full length mirror in the bedroom and the mirror in the bathroom was above my head!”

“The room is clean and quite. The bed is comfortable. The staff are nice. Only the location is not as clear where to look for.”

“Location on West Wycombe Road provides very close access to the incredible local tourist attractions of West Wycombe village, Hellfire Caves, The Walled Garden, Wycombe Park, Downley Village, and Plomber Hill "The Cowfield". Staff are obliging and pleasant, and can usually find a workable solution ti any problem within a few hours to a few days, depending on the complexity of the issue. There's a pool table with TV room, and a table tennis room, it would be nice to see females using these spaces instead of just "the boys". There's also a reception room with sofa and table and chairs, room to sit and eat your lunch at a table, and ample parking space. There's a large Spar within 3 minutes walk, and it's about 15 minutes walk into Wycombe Bus Station, Eden Centre. Recommend as an inexpensive choice with local attractions. The most cost-effective way into London from here is the No 1 bus from Wycombe Bus Station to Amersham and jump on the Metropolitan Tube line from Amersham into town. Thanks to all @ Cavendish Hotel! ”

“We stayed here for one night to go to a party in the area. The man on reception was very friendly, and helpful. Liked the fact that there was a car park with a barrier. Room was basic but very clean. It had a TV, a fridge, and a microwave. Bathroom was clean, shower was good pressure. ”

“The staff was friendly enough but were instances where service could be better. Facilities were decent but there is room for improvement. Location was convenient and hotel was clean. Better pillows required for a comfortable stay.”

“Wasn't expecting to have a mini kitchen in my room so that was a pleasant surprise. Wifi good. It's tidy and for the price, was WAY better than I was expecting. Reception helpful enough if you get the right guy. But you could hear literally everything so bring earplugs and it's not the most comfortable bed tbh. But fine. ”

“Clean, friendly staff, good location. Ideal for what I wanted. Reasonable price also.”

“Great hotel that is excellent value for money in this area. Secure parking off road but get there early to make sure you get a space. Friendly staff and kept very clean. Typical older English hotel so some facilities a bit dated but overall working and good value. Will return when in the area.”
