“Lovely warm welcome on arrival and escorted to well appointed, stylish, compact room, almost managing to avoid banging my head on the low ceilings etc. Breakfast was included in the rate but didn't start until 7.30 by which time I'm normally on the road to work. However, thought it would be a nice treat so loaded my bags into the car ahead of time in readiness. Chap was waiting outside who explained that door was locked as waitress was off sick so was waiting for someone else to arrived. It later transpired he was the chef who hadn't brought a key so his prep was going to be behind too. Got in probably 5 minutes late, was handed a menu but by 7.45 my order hadn't been taken so I left hungry. Sickness happens so can't be too harsh. ”

“We stayed in a compact double. A nice room in the Townhouse but it was indeed compact but enough space. The beauty of the place is the location with a 200m walk to the Hereford Cathedral with the Mappa Mundi. Breakfast was lovely with a view over the castle pond though when full its a noisy space. ”

“Set far enough back off of the B465 to be free of traffic noise Trelough House B&B is a true diamond, from the time Loraine opened the door you know that you are entering something special,as you are shown to your room first you notice the amazing oak staircase that leads you up to the bedrooms I had booked a kingsize room for single occupancy and that is exactly what I was assigned a lovely light and airy room with a stripped oak floor at the entrance a large open fireplace and a big sash window letting in plenty of light,the kingsize bed had quality white bedding four superb pillows and a beautiful quilt that on a normal stay would have been perfect to snuggle into however the room was lovely and warm even with the windows open I decided to roll it back and just sleep on top of the bed sheet the bed was so comfortable I had an amazing full nights sleep waking up in time for my pre arranged breakfast at 8.30 am before going down I made full use of the over the bath shower, the bathroom was spotlessly clean and all the necessary toiletries supplied along with lovely fluffy towels, it was then time to go downstairs for breakfast served in a wonderful dining room again lovingly restored with oak panelling and more of the original oak floor boards, the table was laid up with all you would expect 3 flavours of jam and Hereford honey and I was delighted to see lurpak butter and at the perfect temp to spread on my toast on the sideboard behind me there was a good selection of cereals, yogurt and plenty of fresh fruit but the highlight had to be a very freshly prepared full English breakfast with local quality produce, I had no problem clearing my plate and returned to my room one very happy guest, I finished off my packing an all to soon it was time to leave All in all from the time I arrived to Loraine’s lovely welcome to the time she waved me goodbye I had a thoroughly enjoyable stay I would happily recommend Trelough House to anyone who is looking for a quiet relaxed stay just a few miles from Hereford, I was only left with one question and that is how Loraine could offer up such a great place to stay at such a reasonable rate ”
