“Stayed here a few years ago and enjoyed the experience. This time the place was "tired". The smallest of desk fans to deal with the heat, the cheapest toilet paper, staff had to fine. Rubbish in the outside area not cleared up and tables not wiped. The staff were rude and unhelpful and made you feel like an inconvenience if you wanted something. The food in the restaurant was good but no water or condiments for the table unless you asked, though we did ask for a jug of water with our dinner for 4 people but only received one glass of water. ”

“Really enjoyed our stay at Ashdown park. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. It really feels in the middle of nowhere, which was a lovely escape from London. The brasserie was fully booked so we ate at the formal restaurant, food was great but expensive. Cocktails were almost £20, and the margarita my partner was served had sugar syrup/agave in it, she wouldn't send it back, but I wouldn't expect this from a high end cocktail bar. Breakfast was excellent, eggs cooked to order. Pool and gym facilities were decent too. This place would be lovely in the summer, it has lots of gardens and trails you can walk. Our room was up quite a few flights of stairs, so if you have mobility issues I would recommend communicating this before your stay.”
