“We booked late for this hotel. Location was perfect for our needs. It sits right opposite the ferry terminal. It has a bar and some outside seating. The hotel has obviously been grand in its day and it looks like they ownership trying to upgrade. Looks like a big job. The two staff we saw were pleasant, and seem to fulfil many roles. Breakfast was offered but we had other plans. The dining room looked busy the days we were there.
We had booked a family room, and the room we had was spacious and clean with a lovely sea view. The hotel was quiet overnight. As previously stated maybe could do with a bit of upgrading, but it suited our needs. There is a lack of staff for the size of the place , but understand the pressures on hospitality put on by Scotgov , so no wonder there are few staff. Id like to visit again to see it as upgrade progresses and it approaches its former glory. ”
