“Very convenient for all Buttermere. Great room, good breakfast, the bar food was excellent. Two delightful cafes near by. Staff all very pleasant and helpful. Will definitely return.”

“The stay at Buttermere Court Hotel was absolutely wonderful. Our room was spotless, clean and very comfortable, and despite arriving quite late, we really appreciated that the hotel had reserved a parking space for residents. The food at the hotel pub was delicious, and all the staff we met were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was definitely one of the highlights, having a proper made-to-order breakfast with plenty of choice was such a great way to start the day. The location is also fantastic, just a short distance from Buttermere. It is wonderfully quiet in the evening, and on a clear night you can even see the stars, which made the whole experience feel extra special. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and it is a genuinely lovely experience! ”

“We had a great stay at the Manor House! Very centrally located, right on the main street with cafe's/shops on your doorstep. The staff were brilliant, and even our slight itinerary change was dealt with quickly. The room was not huge, but it was comfy, clean, and the room facilities were all we needed for few nights. The breakfast was INCREDIBLE! Cooked fresh, quality ingredients, and I got black pudding...which is rare treat! You do also get the option of a continental breakfast with granolas/fruits/cereal etc, but the opportunity to have a full English meant I was too full to try any! Overall, brilliant hotel in a prime location.”

“It is called a hotel while in fact it is nothing but a bed and breakfast but even without the breakfast. Very overpriced for the small room and the location. Across from it is a big 4 star hotel with the same price but huge rooms, hotel facilities and breakfast included. I am disappointed with this booking. One of my biggest mistakes in ‘hotel’ bookings”

“Location was lovely, room was great and staff were friendly and very accommodating. Will be staying again.”
