“The plug sockets near to the dressing table did not work. It was very cold in the room. O extras like slippers and bathrobe, which you get in other hotels. Quite old fashioned rooms, but great location. Food in the restaurant was good. ”

“If you need to spend time in Barnstaple this is a good option. I was able to leave my car in 1 of 3 available car spots opposite the hotel at no extra cost. If you are a light sleeper ask for a room at the back or bring ear plugs! ”

“The beds were comfortable and in a central location. Although, not very good ventilation in the bathroom, after having a shower, it stayed very damp for a while. I presume it was the man that was the manager on reception, he was polite and helpful. However, the girl on reception had a slight attitude which wasn’t as welcoming as your checking in and out the hotel.”

“Great hotel not easy to find initially. Does not cater for disabled no lift facility. Perfect for my needs visiting family would definitely use again.”

“Lovely location. Lovely public rooms. Comfy bed, clean bedroom, nice very professional staff. Would definitely recommend it. Would have given it 10 out of 10 if not for a problem with the wet room so I’ll give it 9.5 out if 10.”

“Lovely place for a stay to explore Devon”
