“Friendly and helpful team. Good food. Range of walks from the hotel.”

“This is our second visit to The Hill B&B and I'm sure we'll be back. The property is in a great location, only a few minutes walk from 2 pubs/restaurants and 5 minutes from the Penine Way. The room was immaculate, the bed comfy and Sue does a great breakfast! It's a beautiful area with lots of walks for all abilities right on the doorstep. We had a lovely weekend.”

“Friendly owner run establishment, clean comfortable rooms interestingly presented. Wonderful breakfast choice made with good quality ingredients.”

“Hotel is in great location with free on street parking just outside. We stayed in room 13 which is ‘off-site’ across the street. It is quiet, immaculate and freshly refurbished although a little small (the door opens onto the foot of the bed). Staff are wonderfully helpful and friendly. Breakfast is tasty and although we didn’t dine there in the evening, the food looked amazing.”

“Great location for a stop off on the A66 on way to Scotland. Nice large room with great bathroom and shower. We ate in the bar which although the menu was small in number of choices, was very good. Breakfast in the morning was great with a good selection and nice to be served rather than buffet. All and all a great stay.”

“Gentleman upon reception friendly, & welcoming, we stayed in room 3 which was comfortable for our needs & breakfast enjoyable. Will stay here again when visiting friends who live in the area. ”
