“We have an annual fgolf outing in Ballater and I stayed in the Alexandra Hotel as it is withing easy walking distance of the golf course and all the attractions that Ballater has to offer. I arrived very early and as my room was not ready, I asked if i could leave my luggage with the staff and this was not a problem, when I returned to the hotel later, my luggage had been taken to my room. had a few drinks in the bar after the golf and there wa a good selection of whiskies to choose from and the pint of Belhaven Best I had was very satisfying. The room was spotless. coffee making facilities were available, the bathroom and shower area was also spotless. Wi-fi was very good. There was plenty to choose from in the breakfast menu and the coffee was excellent. Big shout out to all the staff in the hotel, nothing was too much trouble and were very knowlegeable bout the local area. The best recommendation that I can give, is that I will be booking this hotel for next years golf outing - Absolutely faultless”

“room was fine, but basic, bar is nice and cosy and i like the décor. main complaint is the breakfast service, we ordered the full scottish and waited 40 minutes for it to arrive, was the same for every guest, its just not good enough.”
