“Exceptional B&B. With lots of extras you would not expect. Cakes on arrival, huge selection of soft drinks , teas, coffee. Lovely breakfast and a homemade yoghurt to die for. Lovely friendly hosts”

“Stayed 1 night and had a good sleep in a very comfortable bed. Clean room and pretty garden. A lovely traditional breakfast was served at another accommodation 5 minutes walk away. I took some time to locate it though but the breakfast made up for it. Bakewell itself is a lovely place to explore especially walking by the river. I definitely recommend staying at least a night here if one is visiting the Chatsworth House. Must try the Bakewell Pudding which is located very near to Tannery House. A few things to note - the host is usually not around and may take a while to respond, but the father was helpful when I did not know how to use the unique key system to my room (I apologise if I disturbed his privacy by peeping into their kitchen). Also, although they have a dog that was kept indoor during my stay, do watch out for dog poop if exploring the little garden.”

“Ideal location very close to town with parking. Large clean room, comfortable bed, good shower, lovely breakfast. Clear instructions to obtain key. Would have liked to stay longer.”
