“Hotel was lovely and inviting and warm. Hotel is little tired now I stayed 15 years ago and nothing has changed, it’s very clean though. We got this break as a deal so was for us good value for money, however if you paid the full price listed you’d be disappointed at the breakfast of this level of hotel. Very repetitive after 4 days, soggy oil potato cakes and on every morning some of the burners weren’t on the the chaffing dishes weren’t lit, so cold beans and mushrooms, only the choice of tomatoes on Sunday morning. Only ever fried eggs. Cheap sliced bread. No jugs of water available. Just feel the breakfasts lacked effort. Especially for the 4 Stars it is. Feel training is lacking for the breakfast team also. Pushing open the fire exit doors to cool the restaurant down with no warning to us guests on a January morning so we are all immediately chilled isn’t a comfortable way to start a day, we weren’t wearing suits like the team. The staff were really friendly and attentive at the Spa they made us feel most welcome and really lovely treatments to. This was the highlight of our stay. ”

“Great place for a quick getaway and only a 5 mins car ride to the Racecourse for what we needed! The restaurant was really good quality I highly recommend the lamb dripping bread and breakfast was delicious.”
