“We stayed for a couple of days. The house is beautiful and Amandine was a lovely host. It is a bit of a walk from the old city (about 20mins). That wasnt a problem for us as we were happy to see a bit of the newer part of town. My only criticism is that the towels were clean but had gone sour while drying so did not smell good after one use. To be fair we didn't ask for the towels to be changed, which I'm sure they would have been. Otherwise a great stay.”

“A little distant from center ”

“We stayed here 2 nights. It is in a great location- within the walls of Carcassonne. Within walking distance of restaurants, shopping and the ramparts. It had an ok breakfast and the room was clean even. The room they put us in was in a building next to the hotel and it had a strange beam in it that went diagonally along the floor. Definitely wouldn’t recommend getting up at night without a light on. But my real complaint is about the pool. I was told “Hôtel Le Donjon - Cœur de la Cité Médiévale (Carcassonne): This hotel in the historic fortress does not have its own pool on-site, but guests can easily access the outdoor pool at their sister property located nearby.” And when we arrived we were told that we could NOT use their pool. Which was the main reason I choose this property over others. I was very disappointed. Oh and the city taxes were about $50 euros-on top of what you pay. So keep that in mind. ”
