“The staff at this hotel were extremely attentive. It's a resort, so everything is here that you need - pool, restaurants, activities. However, if you want a real Costa Rica experience, it's better to go to more remote areas and immerse yourself in the culture/jungle/surf towns. We only stayed here one night because we had an early flight to catch, but we were grateful that this was not our Costa Rica experience. There are not waves here, so the only water relief was a crowded family pool for us (there was a separate tranquil adult pool if that is what you need). Rent a car and drive to more secluded places & interact with more locals!”

“Nice room w view of the ocean. The tram was very effective transportation to navigate the resort, but we could easily get to the restaurant and pools from our room. We definitely got our exercise! One drawback was that it was next to impossible to get hot water in our shower. We brought it to their attention and they changed the shower head, but didn’t fix the problem. We gutted it out. Our vacation was great. Car rental was key in exploring other beaches and towns. ”
