if you look throught the reviews you will see that most locals are satisfied with the stay while most foreigners are very unhappy about it. I assure you - 99% chance that if you are foreigner you will fall under that statistics. I've lived in thousands of stays and never ever in my life i smelled such dog odor in the room. Stains everywhere, the windows to the balcony through which i was supposed to see the 'view' were very dirty so nothing could be seen. No hot water tho the system is there, but its broken. No soap, no water, no welcome drink, no nothing. They weren't even prepared for my arrival tho i messaged them 24h prior. Seems as the owner of that hotel abandoned it long time ago and now some rookies are handling it.

Writing this review with great disappointment. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. We arrived at the hotel from Colombo on 28th August 2026, around 3:30 PM. I had made the reservation about three weeks earlier through Agoda and had already made the full payment. When we arrived, a staff member told us that all the rooms were booked for a large group and that our room was not available. I immediately showed him my Agoda booking confirmation. He then told us to wait 15 minutes for the manager, as the manager was not at the hotel. We waited 30 minutes, and the manager still did not arrive. The staff member then showed us a screenshot from Booking.com claiming there were no bookings, even though my reservation was clearly made through Agoda. When we asked again about the manager, we were repeatedly told, “5 more minutes.” Another 30 minutes passed. At this point, we had already travelled a long distance and were extremely tired. I requested a refund. The staff member took my bank details and said he had sent them to the manager. We continued waiting and even spent time repeatedly checking our bank account for the refund. By around 5:30 PM, we had already been waiting for approximately two hours. We were extremely frustrated. I eventually called the manager and expressed my dissatisfaction over how the situation had been handled. What made things even worse was that, after almost an hour of supposedly having my bank details, the manager asked for the same details again. Finally, the manager arrived at around 6:00 PM and simply returned the money in cash. The entire situation could have been resolved in 10–15 minutes: check the reservation, acknowledge the overbooking, apologize, refund the payment, and let us leave. To be honest, after seeing the condition of the rooms, we were actually relieved that we did not have to stay. The rooms did not look like the pictures shown on Agoda, and the overall hygiene and cleanliness were very disappointing. However, the biggest issue was how the customers were treated. Making a guest wait for nearly 2½ hours because a manager could not be bothered to come and properly handle an overbooking is simply unacceptable. A hotel can make mistakes, including overbooking. But how you handle that mistake shows the quality of your service. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely poor. I strongly do not recommend this hotel. Think twice before booking.
