“This was a last minute booking for us to be able to do the Cannibals Cave parkrun nearby. The staff were very friendly at reception, assisted us in purchasing firewood for our unit. Everything was just as per the photos on the website. We stayed in as the temperature was dropping, made a fire and enjoyed our self catering stay. Check out was a pleasure the next morning, and we can recommend the Drakensburger restaurant as we had a wonderful meal there after our parkrun in the morning. We will be back when we have more time to take part in some of the activities that the resort do offer.”

“I first visited this resort 35 years ago and camped, and so I was delighted to have the chance to stay again, but this time in a chalet. The chalet was set slightly back from the main view of the Tugela and Amphitheatre and was brand new inside having just been refurbished. The shower was fabulous. I was welcomed with such warmth at check-in, and Lindile’s radiant smile paired with mint-infused cold water on a warm summer’s day genuinely touched my heart. Travelling on a budget, I had booked the backpackers’ option (very reasonably priced), only to be told upon arrival that I had been upgraded to the most beautiful chalet—with sweeping views of the amphitheatre and even a jacuzzi. A moment I will never forget. Waking up to the amphitheatre bathed in morning light felt like standing inside a postcard. The staff were consistently kind and helpful, especially when assisting me in choosing the perfect hiking route in Royal Natal. Everything was perfect. There truly was no room for improvement.”
