“My only real negative comment is about the parking situation. What everyone says is true - parking is TIGHT, and I mean tight!! Other than that, the location is great! The hotel is right in front of the beach - you just walk past the pool area and down a short path and your on the beach. For a continental breakfast, it was pretty good. The waffles are so yummy! They have little bits of brown sugar in them and they are delicious! My room was clean and was perfect for what I needed! I was happy at the Desoto Beach Hotel! If I'm ever in Tybee Island, Desoto will be my choice for sure! ”

“First I just want to say that the hotel is not horrible, it just doesn’t live up to my standards. The desk staff was amazing. The rooms left A LOT to be desired. The first room was very dark and drab. The popcorn ceiling was dirty and cracked. The patio door didn’t open. The paint job in the restroom was terrible! We moved to a different room. Although it was brighter and more welcoming, it still wasn’t very clean. A clean bathroom is a must for me. There was hair and other stuff on the show walls. I had Lysol wipes and spray so that helped. Plus I only stayed for one days so I made it work. I’d stay here again only if they work on their cleanliness. The location is A1 though. ”
