“There was an event at the Stormont Vail center on New Years Eve pretty disappointed that the restaurant was not open that evening and that the bar was not open later than 9:00 when the event at the center was over. It was New Years Eve that is why people booked there so they wouldnt have to drive. ”

“Made reservation a month and a half in advance for a king suite. Told pool renovations would be completed in August, and my reservation date in September would have access to the pool. Called the day of just to find out pool is still being renovated. Arrived at hotel, discovered the king suite was given away and I was put into a regular double queen. I was told there was nothing they could do about it, but I could leave my phone number for the manager to call me the next day. I went up to my room to discover that the entire third floor was being renovated. It had a chemical smell and it was filthy. I went into my room to discover that it hadn't been cleaned and there was hair and filth all over the bathroom.. No toilet paper, no towels. I went back to the desk and the guy was able to 'figure things out' and gave me a king suite ( like I originally paid for). Once I was inside the king suite, it was also dirty... But it was restocked and the bed was made with fresh linens. Housekeeping needs to be retained on how to clean a hotel room. The air conditioner was on high and there were no knobs to adjust the temperature or the fan. Without pliers, I couldn't turn it. I dealt with that, and had my granddaughter keep her jacket on to stay warm. I paid a lot of money for such a letdown, and never received a phone call from the manager. I expected more from the Holiday Inn Express. ”

“No hot water for shower. House keeping walked in room twice during the night. After checking out card charged 250 extra for deep cleaning fee ”

“Bathroom had smell of urine which I couldn't figure why. Otherwise room was clean and nice. Breakfast was pretty basic. We stayed here a couple of times before and felt the services and food was not as good as what we had in the past. ”

“Staff were so very friendly at check in and in the morning. The women taking care of the breakfast was so very kind to offer us food even before the breakfast was open! We will definitely stay again on our way out west. Bed was extremely comfortable, room was clean, air conditioner quiet. ”
